Although the name of this game is potentially misleading, there are no buts or maybes about its true nature: it is a purely chance based casino game unlike Texas Holdem, the object of which is for the player to guess which of two hands will be the winner. One of the hands is dealt face up onto the table, while the other one is dealt face down. The player then gets the chance to analyze the face-up hand before making his or her decision. The game features some pretty wide betting limits. Those on meager bankrolls will be glad to learn that they can play Texas Choosem starting from as little as $.25. High rollers can play the game too because betting can go as high as $100.

The game uses a 52-card deck with hand rankings similar to Texas Holdem or other popular poker variants. At the beginning of each game round, the player gets the chance to adjust the amount of money he or she intends to wager. Once done, the two 5-card poker hands are dealt onto the table. With the deal complete, the player gets to make his or her decision. There is a “To Win” button next to each of the two hands, and the player has to hit the one next to the hands he believes will be the higher five card poker hand. Obviously, if the face-up hand is an already made strong poker hand like a 3 of a kind or better, the decision will be an easy one. After the wager is made, the face-down hand is flipped over one card at a time. If the two hands are tied, the player loses. If the player gets the wager wrong he loses. If the hand he chose is the higher poker hand, he wins. If the player wins, he gets the chance to wager all his winnings again. He can of course cash out as well, and start the round over.

Although his name is quite similar to Texas Holdem’s, there’s nothing really that Texas Choosem has in common with the popular online poker variant. It is a game based purely on chance, featuring a payout of about 95%.
